Goodbye ABP. Hello, Cuteness!

Hello friends, old and new! Welcome to my new digital home, a brand new space to feature, share and sell my designs. Thank you for following me over here from the old domain, Please take some time to browse around. For those wondering “Why the rebrand?”, read on for a little more insight.

ABP Mushrooms

Happy trails to the ABP mushroom mascots!

I’ve maintained a website for over 13 years. Over that span of time I’ve had many different domain names, webhosts, layouts and taglines. (Some of which are kind of embarassing now that I think about it. Thank goodness for evolution!).

In the past, there was no real goal, except to (sporadically) blog on a personal level. In recent years, I’ve been fortunate to develop an intense love for graphic design/illustration into a freelance (work-at-home) business.

My most recent domain name, Anything but Perfect, was the perfect title for me when I was blogging about mom stuff, crafts & hobbies and leaving a FT corporate job. Unfortunately, the name wasn’t such a good match for branding a design business. So I set out to build a new site, with a shiny new domain name, which better personifies my design style and products.

What has changed?

HC is not a “rebrand” in the true sense of the word. Aside from the logo, site aesthetics (we’re kind of purple-ish now huh?) and a brand new name, the designs and products I plan to offer remain the same.

But what about the freebies?

A huge part of ABP were the freebies. The good news is, I don’t plan to stop offering freebies! However, the rate at which new freebies are produced will likely wane a bit as the focus shifts to stocking the shop with adorable & affordable digital goods.

I can’t find a particular freebie anymore!

The ultimate goal is to rebrand and transfer (most of) the freebies from the old site, however with over 55 free printables, it’s going to take a lot of man hours to do it.

On February 28, 2013, the old domain will be shut down completely.

With many projects currently on the plate, the rebranding/transfer of the old printables has been taken off the docket for now.

(Due to workload, I’m also unable to accomodate requests for older printable files to be emailed.)

There is not a time estimate as to when these older printables will be available again.

(Additionally, not all past printables will make it to HC in the form of a freebie. Some may be revamped and possibly listed as a product in the new shop.)

Thank you for your patience & understanding!

What about the ABP copyright?

Although Anything but Perfect is no longer active, the domain is still under my ownership. As the intellectual property owner, the copyright on old ABP digital files remains with me, Angela Cannistra. All previous terms of use still apply. Please take a moment to review the HC Terms of Use before downloading any freebies. Thank you!

What about social media?

Unfortunately Facebook doesn’t allow true name changes of business pages, so I had to create a new page for HC. I would love it if you would please “LIKE” the new HC Facebook page :)

I was able to change the name on some of my other social media accounts and some are new:

And all of those Pinterest Pins?

This is the part I have the most heartache over! Sadly, when ABP is turned off completely, all of the lovely pins on Pinterest will be considered “broken”. Spoke to Pinterest support and there is not yet a way to mass update or mass delete the links from Pinterest boards. There will be a redirect set on ABP in general, which will redirect to the main page of HC.

Well… that’s it! Once again, thank you for following me to this new domain and I look forward to sharing all of the fun stuff to come!

Thank You!! I Love Your See You Later Alligator Toppers. I Used For My Daughters Class Of 11 & Attached Ice Pops. But Now I Would Like To Use For My Sons Class Of 27.
Is There Any way To Get 4 To A Page?

  2. Alison Bennett says:

Just tumbled upon your site and its absolutely ADORABLE ! I’m now friends of yours on FB and can’t wait to see all what creative things you come up with this year!

  3. shannan says:

love your work! Can’t wait to see 2014 calendars-have you considered making matching weekly calendar pages?

    • Hi Shannan! Thank you for your blog comment. The 2014 calendars are slated to be listed in the shop in early September 2013. I’m assuming you’ve seen all of the notifications on the site which explain that 2013 was the last year for a FREE (full-size) version. However, we do plan to offer a free mini calendar (4×6) in order to share (a condensed version of) the new illustrations with our fans. These free mini calendars will be posted in October.

As for weekly calendar pages… Although I’ve had this request before, we most likely will not offer that format as there hasn’t been enough interest to match the level of work that is required to format weekly pages for an entire year. I’ll keep it in mind though! Have to get through the rest of the work/illustrations/formatting first :)

  4. I am loving your new site. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am. Thanks for everything you do.

  5. Hey AC!! Your printables are of course floating around on Pinterest and I just downloaded the School Notes to send with my daughter tomorrow (field trip!!). Thank you so much for what you do – you are very talented and I enjoy your work. :) Good luck with the new brand!
    Thanks again!!!
