Neat treats, group gifts

Oy, my fingers hurt! I spent my entire morning printing, punching, cutting, tying and gluing my brains out. I’ve been assembling holiday treats utilizing some very cute printables from a few of my favorite blogs…

The fruits of my labor

The fruits of my labor

  1. Reindeer Noses: idea/tags from The Crafting Chicks.
  2. Jingle Bells: idea/tags from it is what it is.
  3. Christmas Balls: tags from Eighteen25, concept from it is what it is.
  4. Snowman Candy Bars: idea from Coley’s Corner, wrapper from Laurie Furnell.

All the treats were divided up into two holiday baskets. We have to visit both my Mom’s side of the family (Christmas Eve) and my Dad’s side (Christmas Day). With such large groups to visit, we can’t exactly show up with a gift for everyone. We stopped trying to do that YEARS ago! Waaay too expensive. I’m talking like 12-20 people per group! These baskets will be perfect, so that we won’t feel like goons showing up empty-handed (with 2 wily snot monsters in tow) :D

Lastly, I created a cute sign for the outside of the basket and hung it on using two silver jump rings. (Of course I had to throw a little zebra print in there, cuz that’s my thang)…

I just want to say “THANKS a bunch!” to the sites I listed above for lightening my load this gift-giving season! You’re awesome :)

  1. Great idea! We too have a large family either side and with 3 kids of our own we’ve said enough of buying ‘stuff’ just for the sake of it. We’ll be doing this this year – thanks and Happy Holidays. Sam, Australia.

  2. I have a question in regards to the last label that is hanging outside the basket. How did you get that shape? I am so curious as to if there is a press in that shape or if you just cut it out by hand. Thanks!

    • Hi Jinelle! I cut it out by hand. I haven’t seen a punch/press in that shape, but I wish there was too! :)
